Optimizing Your Profile

Optimizing Your Profile
Your profile is your first impression on SondSurge. A complete, compelling profile builds trust and earns more clicks.
What is this?
Your profile includes your avatar, banner, display name, bio, social links, primary streaming platform, and (for artists) a gallery of up to three images.
Why it matters
When a listener discovers your track, the next thing they do is check your profile. An empty or half-finished profile makes them bounce. A complete profile with a great banner, a clear bio, and working links turns discovery into follows and streams.
How to optimize
- Avatar — use a clear, square headshot or logo (750×750 recommended).
- Banner — a wide, high-quality image (1600×600, 8:3 aspect ratio).
- Display name — your stage name, consistent across platforms.
- Bio — 1–3 sentences. Who you are, what you sound like, where you're from.
- Social links — at least Instagram and X. Add your primary streaming platform.
- Gallery — up to 3 square images. Album art, press shots, or live photos.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the banner empty — it's the first thing people see.
- Using a real name instead of your stage name.
- Forgetting to add a streaming link — listeners can't click through.
What to do next
Open Settings → Profile and use the Profile Completion Meter to fill in any gaps, then read Choosing Your Primary Platform.
