Supporting Music

Supporting is how listeners help artists get discovered. On SondSurge, support is real, measurable, and powerful.

What is this?

When you support a track, you're actively helping it climb the charts and reach more listeners. Support comes in a few forms:

• Upvoting — the core signal that lifts tracks on the charts.
• Sharing — posting a track to social media brings new listeners back.
• Following — following an artist helps them build a lasting audience.
• Gifting — sending a gift to an artist is direct financial support (with an 80/20 split in the artist's favor).

Why it matters

Every upvote, share, and follow you give an artist compounds. A track you upvote today might reach a thousand new listeners tomorrow because of your support.

How to support well

• Upvote tracks you genuinely love — quality matters more than quantity.
• Share with context — tell people why you love the track, not just "listen to this."
• Follow artists whose next release you want to hear.
• Leave helpful feedback in the comments.
